Taking Stock: Indian indices fall on weak Asian cues; pharma worst hit

Among sectors, the Nifty pharma index added 3.6 percent, while the auto index rose nearly a percent. However, some selling was seen in the metal and financial names.
Broader markets mirrored the uptrend, as the midcap and smallcap indices hit fresh record highs of 23,344.49 and 27,106.46, respectively
